Monsoon Tea captures the tranquil moment of savoring green tea after a rainstorm. Brewing Vietnamese green tea is a unique process, which begins with selecting young tea leaves, followed by swift boil to create a drink that is light, bright, and refreshing. As the rain subsides, every spray of Monsoon Tea is a sip of optimism, clarity, and renewal.
Perfumer & Creative’s Note:
“Traditionally, Vietnamese green tea is brewed using a quick boil method, producing a light, vibrant drink. Unlike most tea fragrances derived from dried tea, ours encapsulates the full essence of the tea, including leaf, stem, and water notes. In homage to the drink’s clarity and freshness, we intentionally adopted a minimalist approach, even though it inevitably shortens the perfume’s longevity.”

Ngo Nguyen Viet Anh, the first Vietnamese professional perfumer in modern flavors and fragrances industry. After studying at ISIPCA (Institut supérieur international du parfum, de la cosmétique et de l’aromatique alimentaire), Viet Anh simultaneously interned at large companies such as Givaudan or Parfums Dusita, and then became the official perfumer of IFF (International Flavors & Fragrances).
d’Annam marks Viet Anh’s first launch as the sole creator of a perfume brand. d’Annam’s commercial and artistic success is reflected in its influence on the domestic and foreign perfume markets. Creations imbued with Vietnamese memories through Viet Anh’s professional preparation techniques also contribute greatly to promoting the image of Vietnam in terms of olfactory art to the world.
