Her father, Algirdas Degutis, was a famous philosopher, author of books such as “Language, Thought and Reality” and “Individualism and the Social Order,” and her stepmother, Grazina Miniotaite, is a famous political researcher. Her mother passed away when she was very young, but she was also an intellectual. Ruta comes from a place where self-expression and one’s artistic perspective are encouraged.
