Josh Meyer came to perfume via a love for all things exquisite – be it whiskey, literature, cuisine, cigars, or music – balanced with a strong aversion to pretentious over-extravagance.

A discovery of niche perfumery sparked an unexpected passion, and he began his career as a perfumer in 2010. With his strong love of esoteric beauty, his enthusiasm for the field led him to seek out the finest raw materials from around the world. In his new laboratory, he further spent countless hours researching, re-working, refining and perfecting his unique approach to the craft. Now with a renowned brand, Imaginary Authors is well loved by perfume aficionados all over the world. 

Imaginary Authors is born from the concept of scent as art and art as provocation. Like a good book, the scents are meant to inspire you. The perfumes are intended as layered narratives, and each Imaginary Authors fragrance follows a compelling storyline peppered with intriguing twists.
