MDCI Cuir Cavalier
MDCI CUIR CAVALIER – SCENT PAINTING

First exhibited at the Paris Art Salon in 1812, “An Officer of the Imperial Horse Guards Charging”, also known as “Charging Chasseur”, is one of the masterpieces of the French painter Théodore Géricault (1791 – 1824), now currently being displayed at the Louvre museum, Paris.
First exhibited at the Paris Art Salon in 1812, “An Officer of the Imperial Horse Guards Charging” or “Charging Chasseur” is one of the masterpieces of the French painter Théodore Géricault (1791 – 1824), currently on display at the Louvre, Paris. The painting is a prime example that represents Géricault’s techniques on still subjects, movements, as well as compositions.

“Charging Chasseur” is printed on MDCI Cuir Cavalier, but it does not depict the scent from a battlefield that is filled with gunpowder or blood, instead, it paints the subject itself – only a brave military man, carrying on his body a strange sweet charm that anyone can feel admiration for.

Cuir Cavalier is a sweet and bright piece, with Rose and Berry sweet notes mixing with a bitter hint from Saffron. As the scent gradually develops, the Berry notes get thinner while the Saffron becomes more apparent – it begins to deepen, gradually becomes sharper, with Tobacco and earthy accord, and eventually transforms into a bold oriental leather scent.
