Description

Kilian A Kiss From A Rose

A Kiss from a Rose, is an olfactive antithesis: velvety rose petals contrast a sharp vegetal accord for a swinging pendulum between beauty and danger, opulence and transparency. “I wanted to express the petals and the thorns of roses” explains Founder Kilian Hennessy, who worked on the blend with perfumer Alberto Morillas. “A Kiss from a Rose is delicate, yes, but like a Rose you simply cannot manipulate this scent without being careful. I consider it a warning when you approach!”

Opening with an airy green vegetal accord, A Kiss from a Rose quickly blooms into a floral rush of rose and jasmine. ‘Rose de Mai’ takes center stage as an opulent elixir sourced from Grasse in France. Notes of Jasmine Sambac from China dance around her—green, fruity and slightly sweet. At last, White Musk and Cypriol Essence anchor and lengthen the fragrance trail, rounding off its sensuality, comforting and soft.

AUTHOR – Alberto Morrilas

“Perfumery is the mirror of society. I am the artist who interprets these emotions.”

After decades of unwavering passion for the craft of perfumery, Alberto’s ideas continue to stand out. His extraordinary journey is alive in his intricately designed, legendary body of creations. It is certainly no surprise that Master Perfumer Alberto Morillas was the very first perfumer honored by the Fragrance Foundation’s with the esteemed Lifetime Achievement Award. His life-long partnership with research and development chemists and encyclopedic knowledge of perfume history allow him to fuse innovative natural techniques with breakthrough synthetic molecules, to create true works of art.

“Even when we’ve learned everything there is to know, there is always doubt. A formula is like a well-written sentence: there are thousands of beautiful words from which to choose, but what makes it impactful, is the emotion with which they are brought together.”
